I'm Mel.
Based in Williamsburg with my husband, three kids, and our doodle Banks, I’m living out my dream of helping others design their ideal home—whether building from the ground up or reimagining existing spaces through renovation.
No matter the project, my goal is to create beautiful, comfortable spaces that feel lived-in, offer a sense of calm, and embrace you like a warm hug.

My three kids and our minidoodle Banks hold the key to my heart. Funny fact, I was always a “no pets” mom. My husband talked me into surprising the kids with a puppy for Christmas last year and now I can’t imagine my life without him.
I’m at my happiest with a fire crackling, sand between my toes, music in the air, with a latte in hand, or surrounded by fellow Hokies on game day.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me on the move—playing pickleball, lifting weights, in the bleachers cheering for my kids or walking Banks.
What started as a hobby, has turned into a successful gig!

Helping families transform houses into dream homes that bring joy and calm is a privilege I deeply cherish.

When you LET GO of PLANS, and start living YOUR DREAM
All my life, I’ve been drawn to design and creativity—whether it was crafting custom cakes, creating elaborate holiday displays, or launching a small cake pop business after college. That creative spirit eventually found its home in interior design.
I’m a proud Virginia Tech graduate with a degree in nursing and a lifelong resident of Virginia. While I continue to nurse part-time, my true passion is now at the heart of my days: designing beautiful, functional spaces that reflect the people who live in them.
My own design journey began with my home in Williamsburg, which has been completely transformed through years of hands-on DIY projects. That experience showed me the power of design to shape not just spaces, but lives—and confirmed what I’ve always known: that creating inspiring, personalized homes is what I was meant to do.
It’s a dream come true to design and create every day, and I’m honored to help others bring their vision to life—whether they’re starting from scratch or simply reimagining what’s already there
